Sightlines' Network Events - Summer 2016

Susan Isaacs .... Loris Malaguzzi

Dear Foundation Stage and Primary educators,

The London group invites you to their discussion and development events, and there is an exciting proposal to begin a new network group - or two - in the West Midlands.

The work of the network groups has been very buoyant since the Networks Showcase Day in March, which really showed what can be achieved through the mix of optimism, determination and vision.

All the May and June meetings are open events -  the groups are keen for new participation, so if you are interested in developing creative reflective practice in early childhood and primary education do come along.

Details are in the 2016 event listings and in the Networks pages.

Questing and 'going beyond' ...
"This is not OK anymore ..."

These meetings are proving very popular - and rewardingly inspirational!
There was a waiting list to attend the London meeting last night, and typical responses from the first of the W Mids introductory meeting - again it was full - were:
"Thank you for providing me with new intensity vibration and vitality!!"
"I will take away from the session the inspiring way of questioning and enquiry to use with the children I teach ... and listen more effectively to their ideas and take observations. I will also take this home with me to my own children. Thank you."
"I wasn’t too sure what to expect today, if it would be relevant to me as a child minder – but it has been. Thank you. I will spread the word in the child minding community."
"So inspirational! The process of children’s learning is so often lost because of an emphasis on the outcome. Great to be able to reaffirm the importance of the process."
"Enjoyable. Inspirational. I really want to be part of this journey! Thank you."
"Things I will take away – how can we get as tuned into our children as you are? How can we become braver in the way we work with our children? We need to do more documentation. Thank you."
Those of you in the W Mids area who didn't attend the first Intro session - the second is on 2nd July at Kenilworth Nursery School:
